About the company
ProSpedition is a European logistics company, specialized in serving online retailers. We have been operating on international markets for four years. During that period we have undergone rapid expansion. Our operations span an ever increasing number of countries (currently 25) and currently our parcel volume grossly exceeds one million a year.
Job summary
Using resources provided by ProSpedition, the Subsidiary Director is supposed to create and lead smooth operation of a fulfilment house as a part of our international network. The purpose of the subsidiary is to fulfil orders as requested by the ProSpedition Head Office. There are no marketing and sales activities needed. The purpose of the subsidiary is to facilitate quick and cheap delivery of products to final customers.

Essential duties and responsibilities The following are the accountabilities of the Subsidiary Director but personal responsibility can be delegated to appointed employees.
Procurement optimization.
Inbound logistics management, including import.
Warehouse management.
Packaging and labeling.
Cash on delivery collection and money transfers.
Outbound logistics management and optimizations.
Restocking of returned parcels.
Reporting and ensuring smooth communication with the head office.
Selecting and employing necessary personnel.
Managing finances, material assets, IT infrastructure and other matters related to everyday operation of any business.
Handling all legal and tax matters related to the operation of the subsidiary. Subsidiary Director can count on support and assistance from the Head Office, especially in the areas of: fulfilment operations, legal issues, information technology, and human resources.
Desired skills and experience
Having a proven record of entrepreneurship (establishing and leading successful enterprises).
Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
Knowledge on legal, regulatory and tax issues pertaining to business activity in your country.
Ability to use modern information technology with ease.
Critical thinking, strategic thinking and mathematical literacy; ability to evaluate business case and perform basic cost-benefit analysis.
Ability to communicate easily in English.
Additional nonessential but otherwise strong advantages:
Knowledge on topics related to logistics and fulfillment.
Knowledge on topics related to international trade, especially experience with import and export.
Knowledge on topics related to e-commerce.
